Just before the holdays, I moved my blog. The short story is that the Murder site was having issues, so it made sense to move it over to Squarespace, which is where I was hosting Splatterhouse 5. It had to be done quickly and, having just paid a whole bunch of authors and several cover artists, I decided cheap was the direction I wanted to go in. The long story involves techie jargon and isn't really particularly interesting.

The transition didn't go entirely smoothly. Several posts had some date issues, a lot of my picture links got broken or strangely sized, formatting was nuts. It was anarchy. But, to be fair, some of these posts have been with me for almost a decade, moving from Blogger to Wordpress to Squarespace, and now back again.

So, I've decided to clean them up. And update them. Some of these posts came all the way from the Gloomcorps days are still themed for that, which makes no sense out of the context of that site.

Also, I think my writing has improved a lot. So, I'm kind of embarrassed by some of those old posts. And, since it's the first day of the new year, it feels like a good time to start fresh.

Some of you may know that I used to write reviews for PlayWithDeath. It recently got sold to a new guy. I'm not sure how things are going to shake out, if I'll still be writing there or not. If not, it gives me more time to focus on this place again, which is nice.
He's a very cute nuisance. His name is Agent of Chaos.

At some point, I acquired this little dog. All of my stupid superstitions about finding animals sort of came together. Here's a life tip for you: If you have a baby and someone offers you a puppy, you run the fuck away and never speak with that person again. Even if they are family. The world is a difficult place when you have two unhousebroken creatures in your home. Especially if they're both going through their biting phase at the same time. Both of them together take a surprising amount of attention.

The really good news is that I just finished putting together Beyond the Nightlight for Murder. So, that's all done and I can cross it off my list and hopefully get some of my own writing done again. HAHA!

No, seriously, I'm editing Psychopomp and Circumstance now and looking for a cover artist. Shooting for an August release on my first novel. I really can't express how excited I am, guys.

  1. Sorry to hear about your site troubles. This is my first time to your blog and it looks pretty good. Good luck with your first novel! I'm in the marketing phase with mine and lemme tell you, this is not an easy thing to do lol. It's definitely a work-in-progress filled with constant learning.

    1. Thank you so much! I'm still tweaking the theme. Truthfully, I might be doing that forever.

I'd love to hear more about your experiences with your book sometime.

    2. Hey - no problem! And I definitely have plenty of stories to share on that subject after just a month!
